Harmony for a Cause: Venezuelan Community in Punta Cana Announces Major Benefit Concert for Humanitarian Relief
Venezuelan benefit concert Punta Cana organizers have announced a three-day fundraising event in Downtown Punta Cana to help complete humanitarian aid shipments for families affected by the double earthquake reported in Venezuela on June 24, 2026. The initiative is being led by members of the Venezuelan community living in Punta Cana, with significant support from Dominican citizens, local organizations, business owners, and artists from across the eastern region of the Dominican Republic.
The event, produced by Marcos Moya and Novigo Producciones, will take place on Friday, August 14; Saturday, August 15; and Sunday, August 16, beginning at 4 p.m. at La Esfera de Concreto in Downtown Punta Cana. This venue, located behind Dolphin Park at the site formerly occupied by Cirque du Soleil, provides an accessible central hub for residents of Bavaro, Verón, and Punta Cana Village to gather for this humanitarian cause.
The campaign brings together a broad coalition of stakeholders, including the Churun Merú Association of Venezuela, Downtown Punta Cana, Rotary International, and numerous entrepreneurs from the East Zone. Organizers explained that while several tons of supplies have already been successfully dispatched to the crisis zone, a significant amount of aid remains pending delivery. This concert serves as a critical final push to secure the logistics and resources necessary to reach those still suffering from the earthquake’s aftermath.
Programming for the three days has been designed to appeal to families and the general public, featuring live artistic performances, children’s entertainment, a bazaar, and a variety of food and beverage stalls. On Sunday, the event will also feature a special broadcast from a companion concert organized by the Venezuelan community in Miami, highlighting the international scale of the solidarity movement for the victims.
Attendance requires a donation of RD$500 on Friday and Sunday. Saturday, August 15, will feature a special “Old School” event with a donation fee of RD$1,000. Every contribution, including proceeds from ticket sales and purchases made at the bazaar and food stands, will go directly toward the humanitarian fund. Organizers are also calling on local business owners and artists to contribute production materials such as stages, awnings, and lighting to ensure the event’s success.
By hosting this high-level international relief effort, Punta Cana reaffirms its capacity for social mobilization and its status as a multifaceted destination where cultural diversity and community action flourish.
